Adventures over Christmas break with the Smiths
Sailing
Before we got to the Smith's home on Christmas Eve Day, we met them at Paradise Point for some sailing.
Christmas Day
We spent Christmas day with the Smiths. We got some great emergency preparedness gear, and we gave each other our well-used rock climbing shoes.
Wild Animal Park
We got free tickets from a friend to go to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. We had enough tickets to let everyone go from both the Smith and Cornwall side (only buying one ticket). It was Jaycee and her family's first time going. It was fun to see all the animals and to spend time with both families.
Mt. Woodson
We took Daniel and Steven climbing and repelling from some boulders on Mt. Woodson. The hike was steep but the repelling was way fun. Chuck and Daniel climbed a bit (it was hard) and we all repelled off some neat rocks.
Palm Canyon
With really nice weather, we drove to the Borrego Desert and hiked to an oasis in Palm Canyon. We brought up our climbing gear and were able to let everyone repel down a cliff side. It was lots of fun.
San Diego Temple
We also made sure to go to the temple while we were in San Diego. We got to add another temple to our list of visited temples.
