So Busy and So Much Fun
Well, to catch up: Chuck and Jaycee finished finals this past week (Chuck on Sat., Jaycee on Wed.) They went well/okay for both of us.
Then we went camping (Thurs. - Sat.) to Bryce Canyon, Zion's, and the Red Cliffs. We took advantage of free National Parks week; we went hiking, sight-seeing, and mountain biking.
Day 1: We drove to Bryce Canyon and did some hiking. We followed the Queen's Garden trail.
That night we camped next to Zion's National Park.
Day 2: We hiked through Zion's with matching t-shirts. We did the Weeping Rock trail and the Lower Emerald Pool.
We left Zion's to get to our next camping spot, and hit up a mountain bike trail on the way: Jem Trail.
That night we stayed in the Red Cliffs campground with some very friendly people who let us stay on part of their campsite. We did some hiking and exploring among the red cliffs. This is what we found:
Chuck's Grandpa has painted pictures of this scene above.
On Saturday morning we had breakfast, did a short hike, and packed up our camping gear. Then we did a mountain biking trail called "Bear Claw Poppy." Then we drove through Kolob Canyon on our way home.
